Launched in 2020 by Australian Artist Amanda van Gils, The Artists Business Lounge, is an online coaching business designed to help visual artists to achieve more in their art career and business.

From years of experience and working with others, we know that your talent, willpower and creativity will only get you so far. 

We offer a wide range of services and resources to help you with the business side of being an artist (all the things you don’t learn at art school). 

Using a Mindset, Skillset, Toolset approach, we help you to address any blocks that have held you back from your true potential as an artist, whether they are knowledge, skill, belief or something else.

Based in Australia, Amanda has worked with clients in Australia and internationally in the US, the UK and Canada. Our clients include early career artists and artists who have been exhibiting for decades.

Hi, I'm Amanda van Gils

the artist and coach behind The Artists Business Lounge

I help artists embrace their career potential, get clarity on their art sale business goals and gaps so they can get their business firing through easy to implement systems, knowledge and self-belief.

Like you, I am an artist. I’m also an experienced business coach, life coach, online course creator, mentor, and business owner.

I grew up in Melbourne where I studied Fine Art and now live in Brisbane. I have been exhibiting in Australia, and occassionally overseas, for over 20 years and painting and drawing for most of the last few decades. 

I have led artist forums and curated exhibitions but most of all I understand the business of the business you are in.

I have a talent for seeing what is possible and helping you to see that too. I get a kick out of helping artists like you to build the framework that’s right for your career so you can break through barriers, stop wasting time, and have the ambitious art career you truly desire.
