Over the past two decades I managed a day job, and later a coaching company, alongside my art career, curating, exhibiting, parenting, side projects and businesses.
In 2013 alone I had six solo exhibitions in three States while working a demanding job that included travel (not particularly glamourous – think small towns, small planes, and dusty motels), our son was only six and I continued to play a role in an Artist Supporting Artists Community I had initiated in 2008.
There was a lot going on!
I’m not holding that up as an ideal model (it’s not) or a sustainable one (it’s not that either), but it was manageable and all the things I wanted to do and had to do, did get done.
And here’s the thing:
I am not by nature a structured person.
Through my corporate experience and learnings and navigating through decades of a dual career I learned how to manage and ‘get things done’
I get asked a lot how I manage to get so much done. This book helps answer that question and gives you useful information that you can use right away.
